Streetsboro will face Ravenna in the Week 8 Metro Athletic Conference game at Portage Community Bank Stadium as the Rockets aim to extend their six-game win streak for a playoff push. Junior Marcus Council has boosted the team’s ground game while Ravenna will rely on its strong defense and effective passing by C.J. Ross and LaDarion Askew.

Xavier Board’s 166 rushing yards helped Aurora secure a 37 to 0 win over Tallmadge while Wickliffe edged Rootstown 27 to 20 with a late score — adding to Week 8 high school football results in Portage County. Streetsboro improved to 6 to 2 with a 49 to 3 win over Ravenna, and games from Berkshire, Mogadore, Garfield, Cloverleaf, Highland, Brookfield, Pymatuning Valley and Western Reserve also completed the roundup.
