Lake Rockwell Road in Franklin Township reopened Monday, Jan.
12 after a downed utility pole forced its closure on Jan. 8 between Brady Lake - Ravenna roads.

Portage County schools will form a new sports conference in 2027-28 after local boards vote on the proposal & Waterloo already voted in favor, joining Crestwood, Garfield, Mogadore, Ravenna, Rootstown, and Southeast.
The change is aimed at reducing travel times and reuniting teams that have played together for decades.

12-18 show competitive girls basketball games as Field 44 beat Beachwood and Southeast led Garfield (with standout plays from Richmond and Cardinal).
