🎓 Education
Charlene Rohal, a 4-H volunteer from Portage County, was inducted into the Ohio 4-H Hall of Fame on March 8 at the Ohio 4-H Conference in Columbus—this honor recognized her 40 years of service that has helped youth learn new skills.
She has worked with clubs like the Edinburg Seambusters to bring hands-on projects to local 4-H programs.
🌲 Environment
A total lunar eclipse, known as the blood moon, will be visible tonight as the moon turns a rusty red for about 65 minutes and viewers in Kent may see the full effect just after 1 a.m. ET.
NASA says the entire event lasts nearly four hours—cloud cover could affect views—and a similar eclipse will not occur in the U.S. until 2026.
🏈 Sports
Kent State men's basketball will play Western Michigan in the MAC Tournament quarterfinal tonight at Rocket Arena with tip-off at 6:30.
The Flashes are the third seed and split the season series with the Broncos—each team won one close game.
Kent State alumnus Antonio Gates visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton to start the process for his enshrinement as he met with officials and fellow alumnus Jon Kendle, who will help build his exhibit.
He becomes only the second Golden Flash to earn a gold jacket—joining linebacker Jack Lambert, who was honored in 1990.
