- ➤ Maplewood Career Center’s Adult Education Department announced that scholarships will cover tuition for Dental Assisting, Phlebotomy or Medical Billing & Coding classes in May and June — fall courses will include Industrial Maintenance for Electrical, Mechanical or Fluid Power, Automation Controls Technology, Precision Machining and Welding. - ➤ Kent State University cut around 30 administrative positions and eliminated several majors while the University of Akron is planning layoffs to close a $22 million budget gap (through asset sales and outsourcing).
