🌲 Environment
Hummingbirds are returning to Ohio this spring from Mexico and Central America.
A local report (from citizen spotters) shows sightings across the state, so residents can wash feeders and prepare homemade nectar to attract ruby-throated and rufous hummingbirds.
Kent State's annual prairie burn has been postponed to April 24 after heavy rain and failed ignition attempts; the controlled burn (aimed at reducing invasive plants) is set near the Beverly J.
Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center (a campus facility).
According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, bobcats are native and thriving in the state with over 500 sightings recorded in recent years.
Wildlife experts advise residents to keep a safe distance if they encounter one in the wild + report sightings to the DNR.

Kent State basketball lost two starting players this week as guard Jahari Williamson committed to Pepperdine and point guard Cian Medley to East Carolina.
Williamson averaged 10.3 points per game & Medley set a single-season assist record before leaving the team.
