- ➤ In a successful event on April 25, the Portage County Park District held its 28th Awards Dinner and Auction to honor Towner’s Woods — noted for its natural and historic features — and awarded conservation honors while previewing upcoming Happy Hour Hikes. Weekly Villager

- ➤ Griggy Road in Suffield Township will be closed on May 5 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a culvert replacement project, and no traffic (including school buses) is allowed along the section between Pontius and Swartz roads. Record-Courier
