  • A Kent man who was a registered sex offender, Samuel J. Piltz, 30, was indicted by a Portage County grand jury on two counts each of attempted rape and third-degree felony gross sexual imposition for allegedly sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl in December—he was booked into jail on Thursday and faced arraignment on Friday.  Record-Courier
