  • The Portage County Engineer's Office announced that a dozen culvert replacement projects will cause road closures next week — each closure running from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. — and affect several roads in Nelson Township, Shalersville Township, and Franklin Township.  Record-Courier

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Mental Health and Recovery Board of Portage County will host Celebrate Mental Health from noon to 2 p.m. on May 14 at Hometown Bank Plaza in downtown Kent—attendees are encouraged to wear green, paint rocks, and write gratitude letters—and officials from RecoveryOhio and Gov. Mike DeWine’s office will speak.  Record-Courier
