- ➤ Gas prices in Ohio have reached a four-year high as AAA reports an average of $4.76 per gallon, and holiday travel is expected to drive demand up with millions hitting the road this Memorial Day weekend. Record-Courier

- ➤ Portage County will be designated a Purple Heart County on May 28 at 1 p.m. at Downtown Ravenna Pocket Park, honoring veterans wounded in combat and marking the county with new signs identifying stops along the Purple Heart Trail. Record-Courier
