- ➤ Ohio lawmakers are trying again to name the walleye the official state fish with House Bill 312 after last year’s effort failed; the bill will go to a committee vote before moving to the full House and Senate— a step aimed at boosting fishing revenue, which sees the walleye contributing $1 billion.
