- ➤ During a June 25 board meeting, Kent State University trustees approved unchanged spending of nearly $703.6 million for the coming fiscal year and set tuition rates for new undergraduates—final rates will be set once the state budget is finalized. - ➤ Portage County Job and Family Services announced the 2025 Back-to-School Clothing Voucher Program to provide $150 vouchers for school clothing and shoes to eligible kindergarten through grade 12 children in SNAP or TANF households. The application period runs from June 23 to August 8 and vouchers must be used at the chosen store before September 30 (applications are available at the Ravenna OhioMeansJobs Center or online).
