  • TownHall II Integrated Health Services and Neighborhood Development Services will hold a groundbreaking for Serenity House at 3761 Lovers Lane in Ravenna on July 17 at 11:30 a.m. The renovated facility will offer eight beds, a kitchen, showers and counseling space to support residents in crisis—a project that will continue renovations for six to eight months while partnering with local agencies for additional services.  Weekly Villager

  • Wine Spectator honored 43 Ohio restaurants for their wine programs, including Grapes in a Glass in Canton, The Galaxy in Wadsworth, and River Merchant in Kent. River Merchant has been recognized for the fifth time — the award is based solely on the wine list.  Record-Courier

CULTURE NEWS

  • Mantua will host the Art on the Hill festival on Saturday, July 12th from 10 am until 6 pm. Sixty to 70 artisans and vendors will offer handmade items, food and fun activities — visitors can join raffles and look for special rubber duckies to win prizes.  Weekly Villager

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Mike DeWine said recent online upgrades have saved over 10 million trips to the BMV — Ohio drivers can now renew licenses, print vehicle registrations, and take written tests online to avoid long lines. These services have already helped more than 608,000 residents renew their licenses and eased traffic at crowded offices.  Record-Courier

HEALTH NEWS

  • In June, the UH Portage Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center was awarded the Healogics President’s Circle Award for its high-quality wound care in a rural area—staff treat about 40 patients daily and plan to expand access for local residents.  Weekly Villager
