- ➤ Ohio has approved Grant Street Group to let customers pay state fees with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies—customers will pay a transaction fee like a credit card, and Frank LaRose said his office plans to be the first to offer this digital payment option. Record-Courier

- ➤ At Good Park Golf Course on Sept. 25th, soggy conditions led Brecksville to beat Hudson by a narrow margin for the National Conference title while Kent Roosevelt secured the American Conference title with four second-place finishes. Ben Fauver earned National Conference player of the year honors by shooting a 3-under 69 and Tommy Kinder of Revere was named American Conference player of the year after a tough round. - ➤ The Garfield G-Men football team extended their conference winning streak to 17 games by defeating Champion 56 to 22 last Friday at JAG Stadium in Garrettsville. Coach Mike Moser said the team’s fast offense and strong rushing game helped turn tailback Devin Bates’ return from injury into an important factor in the win. Weekly Villager
- ➤ Portage County high school football Week 6 ended with Garfield and Mogadore moving to 5-1 and Mike Moser earning his 100th win for the G-Men—Roosevelt, Crestwood, and other teams also recorded key victories. Rosenblum covering Norton at Streetsboro on Friday night. The roundup compiled results from several conferences — Suburban American, Chagrin Valley and Mahoning Valley — for local football fans.
