  • Residents from Summit, Portage, Stark, Medina and Wayne counties will be able to get free legal help with wills and estate planning at the Ohio Means Jobs Center in Akron on Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Pre-registration and prequalification are required.)  Record-Courier

  • The Kent League of Women Voters will host a free presentation on Christian nationalism at Hobbs Hall at 7 p.m. Nov. 13, featuring Rev. Christopher McCreight from Hiram Christian Church and Hiram College who will discuss how nationalistic trends in American Christianity affect democracy.  Record-Courier

  • On Nov. 22 from noon to 2 p.m., the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Portage County will host an International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event at Coleman Health Services, 5982 Rhodes Road in Kent—attendees can view a short documentary on grief, paint flower pots and join a discussion.  Record-Courier
