  • Discount Drug Mart opened a new 28,500-square-foot store with a full-service drive-thru pharmacy and deli on East Main Street near Brimfield Elementary on Nov. 12th, replacing its former location at the Franklin Township and Kent border that employed 50 people and offered over 60,000 items—officials said a ribbon-cutting celebration will be planned later.  Record-Courier

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Crestwood Red Devils girls basketball team will begin their season today in Mantua at 11:45 a.m.—after last season's CVC Valley Division win—and they will face a tougher division with new teams like Rootstown and Chagrin Falls. Coach T.J. Henderson said the team lost key players and has only two returning starters, so they will work hard to build momentum over the season.  Weekly Villager
