- ➤ Last Saturday in Mantua, the Crestwood Red Devils girls’ basketball team lost 42-41 to Mogadore due to late miscues that turned a narrow lead into a loss. Coach T.J. - ➤ The Garfield G-Men girls remained undefeated with a 1964-905 win over Campbell Memorial last Friday at Skylane Bowling Alley while sophomore Joy Justice led with a high pin count. The boys earned their first season victory with a 2098-1782 win over the Red Devils, and Coach Howard Moore said his team is rebuilding — they plan to add more talent next season. Weekly Villager
- ➤ Coach Dave Wrobel said the Crestwood wrestling team ended its long streak of qualifying a wrestler for the state meet in the 2024-25 season and is building a new season with eight district qualifiers, three promising freshmen, and experienced standouts — including junior Rocco Wrobel and senior Michael Berquist — to boost their chances. The team will begin its season on Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. at Independence Fieldhouse and is expected to face tough competition while aiming for the podium. Weekly Villager
