- ➤ Stow officials are asking for donations to help four families who lost their homes when a Friar Road condo caught fire on Nov. 30. Donations in cash & gift cards can be dropped off at City Hall at 3760 Darrow Road until Dec. 15 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Record-Courier
- ➤ Kent Police and Citizens Association, in partnership with Kent Social Services, is hosting the annual Fill-A-Cruiser event on Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Walgreens, 320 S. Water St., where residents can donate toys, games, non-perishable food, and money to support local families. Record-Courier

- ➤ Portage Park District and Western Reserve Land Conservancy acquired 550 acres of a former gravel pit in Shalersville on Dec. 9 to preserve forests, wetlands, and lakes for a future park, funded by state, federal, and local grants. Record-Courier

- ➤ OPSMA released the 2025 All-Ohio high school football teams for Divisions IV and V on Tuesday, Dec. 9 (following state championships in Canton) and teams for Divisions I, II and III will be released Wednesday and Thursday. Record-Courier
