She encourages acts of kindness—like donating to help the vulnerable—to build a community where everyone is valued. Record-Courier
- ➤ On Friday, four Portage County agencies hosted Portage County Cares Christmas at Townhall II's Ravenna office, serving meals, warm clothing, and essential supplies to community members facing mental health challenges and homelessness. - ➤ Local high school sports recaps for Dec. 15-21 include girls basketball wins by Highland and Berkshire, plus a boys basketball victory by Bristol over Windham — additional results in bowling, hockey, swimming and wrestling were featured. - ➤ Windham Bombers boys basketball earned their first win by beating Lordstown 53-48 last Friday in Warren. The team will host Chalker this Friday at Marty Hill Court at 7 p.m. as coach Cody Apthorpe said the win boosted the players' confidence. Weekly Villager
- ➤ Garfield G-Men girls’ basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter to upset Southeast (53-46) last Friday at JAG Fieldhouse in Garrettsville. Coach Aaron Gilbert said key contributions from senior guard Kaelyn Tasker and tight defense propelled their first league win. Weekly Villager
