- ➤ A new temporary roundabout opened at the intersection of East Main Street and Horning Road north of campus on Jan. 8 as part of the $26 million road project set to reconfigure traffic patterns through spring (ensuring continued access to nearby buildings). Kent State Today
- ➤ PUCO approved a settlement on Jan. 8 that ends House Bill 6 cases against FirstEnergy. The deal returns nearly $276 million to customers over three billing periods + allocates $20 million for low-income programs while a review sets refund timing. Record-Courier
