  • Kent State's Office of Global Education will host a Cultural Café tomorrow from 12 to 1:30 p.m. where international students from Angola will share their country's history, traditions and cuisine — following an October session featuring Turkmenistan — to engage the campus community.  Kent State Today

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • AAA forecasts 82 million Americans will travel for Thanksgiving, with 73 million driving and 6 million flying, and experts warn heavy traffic on Tuesday and Wednesday before the holiday—Kent drivers should plan extra time for their trips.  Record-Courier

SPORTS NEWS

  • Kent State swept the MAC awards when their quarterback Dru DeShields, linebacker Mason Woods and punter Charlie Durkin earned weekly honors in a 42-35 overtime win over Akron on Nov. 11—DeShields threw for 319 yards with five touchdowns, Woods made 13 tackles and Durkin averaged 40.8 yards per punt. Senior forward Delrecco Gillespie also earned a MAC honor in men’s basketball by averaging 22.7 points and 14 rebounds in wins over North Carolina Wilmington, Cleveland State and Wright State.  Record-Courier
